Tour Update: We've Landed in America, And It's Freezing!

1 delayed flight, 1 missed connection and two unhealthy airport meals later, 3/4 of the Hillsong LIVE tour team was 3/4 of the way to our first destination! And no amount of excess luggage, middle seats or custom lineups could dampen our spirits as we looked ahead to what we KNEW God was going to do over the next 3 weeks...
Arriving in Minneapolis we were ready for just about anything...EXCEPT the weather! 15 Aussies had just left 40 degree heat, Nigel was wearing denim shorts and Havianas as we disembarked into what can only be described as
deep coldness. The temperature was pushing the freezing mark and our drummer, Harry, who has never been to America before was proudly proclaiming that his jeans were frozen. :)
We loaded 19 pieces of luggage and musical equipment onto the bus, minus two 'missing' bags which were later discovered in an airport in Illinois; slept a bit, shopped a bit and as I write, it is 10.57pm and faithful David Ware is singing 'with everything' with his whole heart, Eric is passionately rocking out on the keys, the team has hands raised in worship, the lights and sound are exceptional ...and this is just REHEARSAL!
Ephesians 3.20 says 'Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!'
Over the next three weeks, this is our prayer. That, those attending these nights of worship would see His power in their lives and in their church. That us as a team would overcome any physical obstacle in front of us and proclaim with authority and faith that GOD IS ABLE - in our homes, in our work, in our marriages, in our relationships, in our ministries, in our
cities...in our lives. And our greatest hope is that hearts would connect, some for the first time, with the God of the universe who is MORE than able...
