Remember The ANZACS

Hillsong Collected

As I think about the ANZACS this year I think about the pillars on which our country was founded. The bravery and valor, the strength and sacrifice, the national pride of those men and women who fought and died while defending our freedom.

They gave their lives for the cause they believed in; they died for Australia. They believed that their actions in the present would make a significant difference for the generations to come…

As disciples of Christ, we must hold to the same belief. Our actions and our example - Christ IN US and THROUGH US - makes all the difference for someone else’s future. The Bible says:

One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.

Psalm 145:4

What will the next generation say about the God we serve? What do our actions and our lives in the present say about the mighty acts of our Creator? What will our discipleship and our sacrifice look like in the lives of those we have encountered?

As we take time today to honour the ANZACS, their families and the sacrifices they made for this country, I pray that you would also take on their spirit of looking FORWARD and their courage to fight for what they believe in.

God is a God of purpose and future, His love is endless and His reward is eternal.

With love and remembrance on this ANZAC Day,

Love, Brian
