Sisterhood Germany: The Invitation Has Arrived [PHOTOS]
There was great excitement amongst the girls at Hillsong Germany this week as everyone looked forward to our closing Sisterhood United night of the year. I always love the buzz on Facebook and Twitter. I love to be able to read people’s thoughts, prayers and excitement about what is to come, and there was so much expectation about Friday the 18th of November!
At the crescendo of our opening item, our first ever Colour Brochures printed in GERMAN were placed into the hands of our women! It was so exciting to watch, as girls spent the next while reading it together and looking at the beautiful artwork. We are praying, and if you are reading this and would like you to pray too. I am believing for more German women then ever before to come to Colour Conference in 2012.
Our closing night of the year was named ‘A Night in Scarlet’. The whole night being framed with a scripture from Proverbs 31:21 (NIV)
"When it is winter, she has no fear for her family; for all of them are clothed in scarlet."

Pastor Bobbie is known to say, "Our world is not well". There is much need and injustice which plagues humanity, and I believe this is the winter the scripture is referring to. Our world is so very much in a winter season. And I wanted our girls to see again and to understand, that although the world is in winter, She – woman, and She - the Church, has no fear for her family, because she has a plan, and her family is and will be, clothed in scarlet! Well I won't attempt to describe the whole message of the night, but I what I do want to say is that there is an understanding!
We know - our family is not limited to the people that we live with! Our family is much bigger than that, there are children in India and we are their “mothers”. There are women in Africa they are our “sisters”... our family are the sons and daughters of God, redeemed and unredeemed, who share this planet which we inhabit and call Home. We will do all we can to clothe them in the warm scarlet of the gospel!

Vera Kasevich from our Church in Kiev spent the evening with us and wowed us in her red scarlet sari and her amazing message. The Sari was so appropriate actually, as unbeknown to her, we had planned to serve desert with a purpose... At the close of the night we served chocolate and cherry muffins on top of our Vision Rescue Loose ‘Change for Change’ moneyboxes. It was a moving moment as some of our worship team girls sang out "We are the Light" by Kari Jobe, and the waiters brought out beautifully wrapped packages containing something delicious for the girls, and simultaneously an opportunity to be the change as we combine our efforts with Sisterhood all over the world to buy a Vision Rescue bus.
Can't wait to see what 2012 unfolds.
Love Jo
(Hillsong Germany Lead Pastor)
